SCAFFOLD INSPECTIONS & AUDITS
We provide a independent Scaffold Inspection with a full comprehensive published report given at every visit, this will enable the Client/ Principle Contractor to prove the inspection record of the scaffold should the need arise. The bespoke report gives a percentage score and includes photographs and recommendations.
By law scaffolds must be designed and erected, then inspected before first use and weekly thereafter by a competent person who has the competence as that of the erected structure.
Our inspectors have worked within the industry and have the knowledge and expertise to ensure that the scaffolds are erected and maintained to the required standard.
All inspections are carried out by a Qualified CISRS Advanced Scaffold Inspector
We will at our customer’s request, attend the site and carry out detailed inspections and record our findings on a one off or weekly basis.
This service can be provided to customers who have had scaffolding provided by another party and who do not have the qualified personnel to carry out the weekly inspections.
Each inspection will be recorded and our findings given to the client for their files.
One off inspection following a safety incident or dispute
We recommend the use of the Scafftag®️ system, as this is a visual control of the scaffolds use and safety status.
After each scaffold inspection, you will receive a fully detailed scaffold inspection report within 24 hours of the scaffold inspection as per The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulation 1998, Report of results of every inspection made in pursuance of regulation 6(3).
The detailed scaffold inspection report will clearly detail the status/condition of the scaffold, the requirement for modification/remedy if there are faults and the time and date of the scaffold inspection.
The scaffold inspection will include all ladders, staircases and components of the scaffold, the design for more complex scaffolds will need to be produced upon arrival at site in order to perform the scaffold inspection prior to the scaffold inspection taking place!
Our standard inspection includes a thorough examination that ensures:
-
-
That the platforms comply with statutory regulations and the recommendations of TG20:21
-
That both the access and egress are suitable and safe
-
That the foundations are adequate, and are not likely to be disturbed or undermined.
-
That the lower portion of the scaffold is not liable to damage by interference, accident, traffic or any other extenuating issues
-
That the scaffold is appropriately constructed to carry loads, following the guidance from the TG20:21 compliance sheet or design drawing.
-
That the scaffold is correctly tied, anchored and braced to maintain stability under load and environmental factors.
-
That the anchors have been installed and proof tested by a competent person. Once the inspector has received the anchor pull test they will save it on file
-
That the scaffold complies with the requirements of the Local Authority, including lighting, hoarding and fenders, and in general is not constructed in a way that can cause damage or injury to persons due to protruding tubes, low headroom or other issues or hazards
